Our regular departure point is located at the edge of the old town of the “Glass City” Leerdam. On departure you have a magnificent view of the harbor, the old city walls and the ‘Royal Leerdam’ Crystal factories.
While sailing upstream on the “Linge” the captain will keep you informed of the sights and we pass the 14th-century basilica of Asperen,
the ramparts followed by an “exciting” passage Dutch Water line along the narrow locks at Fort Asperen.
The orchards and meadows are a favorite haunt of herons, storks, kingfishers and wild geese, you will see almost all of these animals yourself!

After one of the many bends we will suddenly see the Munnickenwiel, where a monastery was located which completely disappeared during a dike breach.
Seated on one of the two decks on the comfortable ship you can see the ” the Hole of Acquoy” where the Dutch “Tower of Pisa stands”.

In case of a 120 minutes cruise going upstream, we make a graceful turn between the villages Gellicum and Rhenoy to sail quietly back to Leerdam.
For longer trips we can sail to Beesd, where we will turn around because our ships can not navigate under the viaduct of the A2. The the trip from Leerdam to Beesd takes at least 4 hours.

The captain is decides the directions based of the length of the tour, the water level and the departure times.
