|Our regular departure point is located at the edge of the old town of the “Glass City” Leerdam. On departure you have a magnificent view of the harbor, the old city walls and the ‘Royal Leerdam’ Crystal factories.|
| While sailing upstream on the “Linge” the captain will keep you informed of the sights and we pass the 14th-century basilica of Asperen,
the ramparts followed by an “exciting” passage Dutch Water line along the narrow locks at Fort Asperen.
The orchards and meadows are a favorite haunt of herons, storks, kingfishers and wild geese, you will see almost all of these animals yourself!
After one of the many bends we will suddenly see the Munnickenwiel, where a monastery was located which completely disappeared during a dike breach.
In case of a 120 minutes cruise going upstream, we make a graceful turn between the villages Gellicum and Rhenoy to sail quietly back to Leerdam.
The captain is decides the directions based of the length of the tour, the water level and the departure times.
